On Monday, the Chatham County Board of Education announced that a groundbreaking ceremony for the new middle school in Briar Chapel has been scheduled to be held on Thursday, Jan. 29th at 9:00 a.m.According to Chatham County Schools Superintendent Robert Logan, the new middle school is projected to open in August 2010, and will cost an estimated $27 million.
